Three part post, background of the first month back. A list of our villa staff.

Return Eleasis (august) 1, 498 AF
The party returns home and decides
to accept the cities offer and combine their villa with the one behind theirs.
The dividing wall has been removed and the debris from the burned villa has
been removed and the party now has 2.4 acres of prime real estate inside Tul
D'Neir.
It costs the party 60gp / month
each to rent and maintain the property, grounds and staff. Since the party is
famous and well trained in skills, it takes no extra work then training people,
standard thieving, standard performing, etc, to make this 60gp/month. The only
thing you need to pay for is your lifestyle expense, since we already have the
place to stay, the only cost would be food, so half of the per day lifestyle.
[For example, Slickback wants to
live comformtably while at the villa, it will cost just 30gp/month for him to
do that. His 60gp/month for rent and maintenance on the villa would be paid by
the money he earns by picking pockets and doing odd jobs for the local naughty
element in town. He could also earn the money legally by training lower level
monks. The 30gp/month to live comfortably would go to the food he eats.] You
can decide how you want to make your 60/gp month to pay for the rent and
maintenance on the villa, we are high enough level that it should be easy to
find people in town to train.
All told from Battle World and the
adventure in Brindenbergford (and our unfortunate exile from) each party member
has 3796 gp, 6sp and 5cp, as well as 1200gp in gems. This does not include the
sale of any goods, once we decide what we are going to do with everything we
can retcon the sale of the goods into this first month of back in town.
Repair and renovation begin on the
stables by Grestians Construction of Sawville. Stable repair would cost 100gp
to restore the 20 horse stable, right now only 4 of the stalls are able to be
used.
The guard barracks and training are
are also being renovated and expanded to eventually house 20 full time guards.

hold up to 20 people, including 2 private rooms for officers. Right now we only
have 8 guards, Firebeard is training. There will also be a trapeze outside the
area for Aggadah that costs 20gp
Firebeard begins training with the
8 guards, showing them the proper techniques that nearly won him the Sword and
Board Tournament in Brindenburgford. He also rides his horse outside of town to
practice jousting with some of the towns calvary riders. Some days he does
nothing but study the stack of books that he had delivered to him.
Veshna has taken it upon himself to
clean up the grounds, tending the ground, magically clearing underbrush. Often
she will disappear for days early in the morning and then return, usually with
fresh vegetables or fruits from thankful farmers. One time she came back with a
large crate that contained a freshly butchered cow, many steaks were devoured
by all that week. She has also added a pair of goats that wander the grounds,
keeping the grass nice and trim.
The party has entered into a
contract to repair looted weapons and armor with Quesos Weapons and Stuff,
located in Sozo, a short distance from the villa. Owned and operated by a fire
genesi smith [exp 8] this shop that faces the wall that surrounds the zoo. A
very good smith, he is familiar with all kinds of metals and can work with
metals from other planes.
Any equipment that we want to save
will need to be refurbished, it normally costs 25% of the cost to clean/fix any
looted armor or weapons we recovered from the unfortunate ones that fell before
our blades, but with the amount of work we are giving someone, they have
lowered their fee to 15% of book value.
Ever since he returned, DuTamn has
been patrolling Al Kuneer in the service of his lord Osiris. Two weeks after
returning you hear a story of DuTamn's bravery and quick thinking as he
defeated a spell slinging warrior in the slums of Al Zalam. It was later found
out that the warrior had been driven insane via magical means (by an unknown
assailant). His actions saved an orphanage and it earned him the respect of
Kalas Kakal, a major player in the underworld of Al Zalam.
Alton is rarely seen during the
day, and those that sleep in the villa are often awoken due to his screams from
night terrors that range from him yelling about being swallowed by a giant
snake, being pwned by a grey ooze, having been mostly dead and something about
'goddamn effin grells'.
Slickback moves into one of the
cottages, it is the one that is mostly surrounded by trees and always seems to
be in perpetual gloom. Veshna claims one of the others, there is something odd
about the cottage, but you can't place your finger on it. Aggadah moves into
the Tower of Vines. Alton, Firebeard, Kaminari and DuTamn still live in the old
manor house.
Aggadah moves into the Tower of
Vines {see other text file for history of the Tower of Vines}. He lives on
floor three (the bedroom), the fifth (and top floor) contains a standard
library and an extensive history of the Lloyd family that traces its history
back 450 years as well as a history of Tul D'Neir during that time period, the
shelves are 80% full.
The lowest floor, the old reception
area, is the perfect area for the party to display their trophies. It's got
14ft ceilings and is a large 50x50 space, there is a bar area that leads down
to the kitchens and larder. The wine cellar (off sub basement 2) is half full
(300 bottles) and 90% of it is Moss Lake Wine.

Cube of the Hut - There
is a small white cube made out of stone. It does not react when put in
water. We take time to move outside. We say the majic word and it
opens to a magical hut. The cube needs room to expand and will hold 10
grown people. The building will stay in form for 12 hours then must stay
in stone form for 12 hours.

a sandwich. It will work 7 time in a day but no more than 6 days in a

The largest chest
looks like a treasure chest. Kevin take a quick look at the chest but he
does not see anything. He can tell that this lock is a good quality
chest. He is not able to pick the lock so he moves to the smaller chest.
He takes a look at the smaller chest and knows that the lock was not made
by any mortal race. It is a construction that he has never see before.
This coffer is small enough for us to take with us. We put it in
the BOH and move on.
