Day 1 of the campaign was Day 60 of the year
PREVIOUS:
We finish exploring the cavern and manage to find out
where the cavern opens near the home. We
manage to explore the nearby woods and take on a group of goblins. We manage to rescue the tax collector and
bring him back to the city. We were
promised a reward and a bonus.
CURRENT:
Day 3: Morning (Ches 2, Year 498 AF)
As we are heading back to town we split out gold and
gems. All together we have 100 GP and 6
gems (260 GP). That means that we all
get 51 gp, 4 sp, 1 cp. All goes well and
we are not attacked by anything while on route.
When we get back we meet with xxxx and he has another
job. We are to meet with Jacfin at the
Stormy Pants inn in the city section of Squeaky Town. We arrive back at the morning and we have to
wait until the evening to go to the inn.
We do not have any idea what the job would entail. During the day, Veshna takes his frog legs
around and manages to sell his legs for 12 GP and adds to party money.
Day 4: Early
Evening (Ches 3, Year 498 AF)
As we move through the city we encounter several of the
cities many colorful buildings. We pas
the cemetery and head northwest on the Street of Wheels into Squeaky town. We pass several of the shops. The Grand Mountain Trading Coaster is the
dwarven owned coaster. There is also an
Elven consortium called the Thesalore Wagon Concern.
The Rescue of Penelope is the statue in front of the Stormy Pants Inn. Penelope is stalked by a wave elemental but
her love Pedro sacrifices himself to save her.
We get to the Stormy Pants Inn and meet Jacfin at the inn
and he shows us to a booth in the back.
We are there for only a few minutes before a tall elf and his twin
guards come to the table. The elf is Lord Caralan Ironwood and he appears old for an elf. He has heard of our exploits and we should be
perfect for guard duty for his next caravan.
The cargo is very specialized food stuff. The job is 8 days to the north east to a town
called Elsybel. The pay is 5 gp per day
plus a 25 bonus for each leg of the journey and there would be a return
trip. The mission is to keep the cargo
intact but not all of the guards. If we
are the only one that survive we are to go to the Four Moons post in
Elsybel. He tells us that the trip is
through hilly terrain but normal territory.
Someone will be by tomorrow to bring us the contract as it must be signed
on the day of the first trip.
Day 5: 12:01 am (Ches 4, Year 498 AF)
The man with the contracts arrives at the Stormy Pants
Inn and we sign. Veshna take time cast
Goodberry which makes 10 berries that last for 24 hours.
Day 5: Morning
We hear a booming contract on the door and as the knock
hammers. If feels like the floor drops
roughly 5 feet. We are all struck blind
and paralyzed at the same time. We can
still hear what is happening.
After we are struck i hear someone moving in the room as
if someone walked out of the room. We
all take time to sound off and we are all in the same situation. The mind set is that we wait until something
happens. We are at the far end of the
inn and we are removed from the rest of the group.
We remain blind and paralyzed for a full 8 hours. We hear a knock at the door and the blindness
and paralysis ends. We are in a
completely different room. We are in a
nice but smaller room. There is only one
door and no windows. We hear the another
knock and we ask, "who is there."
There is someone from housekeeping.
Housekeeping
We open the door and it is another hallway completely
like the first hallway. There is a black
arrow painted on the hallway wall that leads to the left. The general though is that this is a standard
10 foot hallway. There is another
hallway that we are other door. Every 40 feet there is another door. The doors are locked and they do not
move. At each door there is another
arrow that points in the direction that we are walking. After passing six doors we reach a white door
that is different from the other doors.
There are words written on the door, "Please Open" and the
writing is written in roughly 30 different languages. Firebeard opens the door without hesitation
As the door opens there are several pamphlets that are
several languages. There are 4 pamphlets
that are in common that describe the world.
As we are reading the pamphlet a green door appears. That is the only door. We decide to go through the green door and
enter the Golden Coin Inn.
The Golden Coin Inn is decorated with coins on the
walls. It is a large room but we are the
only people in the inn. As we approach
the bar we are greeted by a large gray humanoid with wings. Canterbury Jim is his name and he greets us and offers us food. He waived us to a booth and with a clap of
hands a bunch of gnomes come out to serve.
We learn that we do not have any gold that he does not already have.
- We learn that the majority of this realms creatures are
gnomes
- We learn that the bar tender is a dragon-kin
- We learn that a window opens every 90 days
- We learn that the hollow world is large enough so that
it is roughly
3400 miles circumference.
We learn that we were probably thrown here by the elves
from the real world inn was scheduled to send us here. We were sent here on purpose. There is even a schedule that has the
incoming and the next travelers. While
we are in the room we hear a gong and another group comes through.
- three other humanoids come through (air genesi, dark
blonde elf, human female cleric, walking chest, and a flying cat)
- the cleric has 7 stars and a moon and they resemble
Mystra but not truly Mystra
We learn that with this world the day is 27 hours long
and the sun fades as the day ends.
The Tower is 150 feet tall and made of blue vain granite
with a red roof. The 40 foot walls are
made of black stone. We take time to
travel to the wizards tower. The black
stone is complexity black and it appears that the stone is actually absorbing
the light.
- as an experiment i cast light on a coin and see the
effect that the light is actually being absorbed by the stone When we exit the
tunnel through the wall we expect the tower to be roughly 40 feet away but in
fact it is roughly 200 feet. Some sort
of spacial abnormality. We do not see
any other creatures in the fields and we are the only ones. There is a gravel walkway that leads to the
tower. As we start to move to the tower
it seems to take three times as long.
When we get to the tower we are greeted by Vermont au Graaf. He says that he is an associate
of the wizard Fluffanutta. He leads us
to the main door and into the tower. We
wait for the master of the tower. The
decoration in this room is filled with art and other gnomish artifacts.
- first quarter: I
am not able to discern.
- 2nd: greatest of
all gnomish kings and a golden age. One
brown gnome stabbing another brown gnome then all hell breaks loos
- 3rd: I am
not. Picture of a god tearing himself
apart and forms the two gnomish races.
There is a split in the sky and the world appears as it is now with the
hollow world
- 4th: Meeting
with bi-colored anvil with a grey gnome shaking hands with a gold gnome.
A female enters the room and she has Jet black hair and
is named Gordy Shumway. Fluffanutta has been missing for 5 months now and no one knows where he is. The wizard is the only one that can make the
potion that us used by our world. This
wizard needs the herbs for the potion and we also need to recover the wizard.
- Gordy tells us that Fluffanutta went into the forest
and has not been seen for 5 months.
- the reward is 500 mithral pieces for the safe return of
the wizard.
- We learn that Fluffanutta went to the forest with his
friend Sildar Hallweather (male) and they both has been missing. The wizard and his friend went into the
forest to look for The Forge of Spells in the town of Phandalin. No one has communicated with the town and no
one knows what has happened.
- Baby's Breath, Queen Anne's Lace, and beats [phat, dope beats are the best kind, the kind Dr Dre makes] are the main
ingredients for this spell.
- We are warned that the majority of the races are gold
Gnome 40%, Genesi 25%, other races 10%
Day 5: noon
We leave the tower and we head to the forest. The trip will take us two weeks from the main
road. The travel is acceptable and
nothing happens. We break for the day.
Day 5: 2nd Watch:
During the night Firebeard and Alton all manage to pass
their perception checks. The 2nd watch
hears a buzzing coming from the forest.
The swarm comes after me and deals some serious damage.
- i cast Wrath of the Storm as a reaction and use the
channel divinity for maximum lightning damage.
- Firebeard; casts with his axe and deals some serious
damage. He can tell that we are being
swarmed by tiny little gears and machines.
He can tell that the melee attack is not doing much damage
- Most of the party wakes on the first call and the rest
comes awake when my thunderous boom comes up
- Slickback; attacks the swarm but does not very much damage
- Alton; moves to advantage to do an unarmed strike
- evil; The swarm manages to hit me and drop me to zero.
- I make my save but i have been dropped to zero
- Firebeard; he hits and discovers that the AC is 12
- Slickback; takes a flurry swing and hits twice and destroys
the swarm
- Alton; draws weapon and tries to fend off the sward
that is attacking my near-lifeless body but misses
- Aggadah; casts his lightning breath in his own square
and manages to damage both the swarm and DuTamn's creature
- evil; the one on my near dead form leaves me and starts
attacking kevin
- I fail my death save meaning that i have 1 dead and 1
alive
- DuTamn; uses his paladin Lay on Hands for 2 HP and
stabilizes me
- Aggadah; he uses his lightning and hits the swarm
- i have to cast Cure Wounds on myself for a minor
restoration
- Veshna; takes out a swarm near him
- Firebeard; strikes at the one on Aggadah but does not deal
damage
- DuTamn; casts Shield of Faith for an extra +2 AC
- Aggadah; casts shocking grasp for some minor damage
- i cast Sacred Flame on the swarm but miss as the swarm
makes its Dex save
- Veshna; managed to destroy the swarm with a fireball
Day 9; 197 days
left; Morning (Ches 8, Year 498 AF)
We get to The Purple River and see a very well maintained
road. The river is purple in color
roughly 1/2 mile wide and there is a bridge that crosses. There are boats in the water that are moving
in both directions. It appears that the
river is moving in both directions.
The river is also well travelled. The stones on the south side of the river are
gray as the gnomes are also more gray.
The farms and the gnomes all appear to be the same.
We meet a gray gnome on the road named Farmer. He tells us that we are on the right
road. We travel for several hours and we
reach the edge of the forest. There is a
loop road that surrounds the forest.
We discover a sign that says the town of Phandalin is a
10 day. We decide to take time to travel
the main road. There are other people on
the road as we travel. As we are
traveling we hear a high pitched male scream from the forest. When we hear the scream we are the only ones
on the road.
- Aggadah uses is bardic inspiration on Firebeard for extra
damage
- i cast Bless on DuTamn, Firebeard, and Slickback for extra
attack bonus and save bonus
- The screaming is coming from the pinto colored
unicorn. It comes running out of the
forest and runs past us
- evil; An ogre comes running out of the forest with a
weapon in hand
- Firebeard; was holding his action and hits with a hand axe
- Aggadah; casts and tries to force the creature away but
the ogre made his save
- Veshna casts entangle
- evil; tries to hit with flurry but only hits once.
- Kaminari cast Guided Bolt and manage to his with some serious
damage
- Slickback; tries to attack with the advantage but misses
- Alton; manages to drop the ogre
When we take time to speak with the Unicorn we learn that
this creature is a Chronocorn named Sir Timothy Von Funkenstein. It is getting dark and this is where we are
going to camp. The Chronocorn says that
he will stay with us for the night. As
we are talking Sir Timothy asks to smell us as one of us does not completely
smell like an outworlder. It turns out
that Veshna is the one that is half inworlder. Alton takes time to search the Ogre.

We move the ogre body off the main road roughly 100
yards. We take an hour to walk down the
road so that we are clear of the exit.
We decide to continue on down the road to the city. We have another 10
days until we get to the city. As we
travel the forest gets closer or farther from the road. Sometimes the road is 1/2 miles from the
forest and sometimes the forest crosses the road. On our travels we manage to pass a set of
Genesi traders. They don't treat us
badly but they make a point of telling us that we are outworlders. The Genesi told us that they have traveled
through multiple planes but are looking for something
In our travels and our talk we learn that Sir Timothy
game himself his own name. He is not
from a royal family or anything else.
Day 10; 196 days
left; Evening (Ches 9, Year 498 AF)
As we are moving on the road we attacked by
fignihey. In addition some of the there
is nore the weeerclu. There are several
rounded ones and a nlagy. One is a cmall
our one. [I really have no idea what these past few sentences say. I would accuse Tom of drinking, but I know he doesn't. I really can't imagine him with his filter completely lowered because of alcohol.]
- Aggadah killed this
- Kam move up and strike but miss soooo badly that i have
granted the opponent advantage
- evil; strikes me but my rebuke takes it out
- We take times to search all their piles but their gears
all break apart.
Firebeard takes time to gather the good gears that weigh 2 oz. As we are searching, Timothy
tells us that these creatures are Modrons and they are hiding on the
planet. These have escaped the hive mind
and need to be recaptured.
We all get 167 in EXP
The next game is 4/16 for group then for
